Marilyn Acrylic Chairs and Benches
This week someone pinned a chair that looks like it’s made of glass. There was no link and no name, so I had to look for it.
It is the Marilyn Acrylic Arm Chair. I found it on the Global Views website.
Italian molded clear acrylic was inspired by our best selling Marilyn chairs. This version features a rich juxtaposition of a tufted mohair cushion with traditional silhouette in clear acrylic.

I’ve loved the Louis Ghost Chair by Philippe Starck for Kartell since it came out in 2002. The Louis Ghost Chair comes in a lot of different colors of acrylic.

Marilyn Acrylic Arm Chairs
The Marilyn Acrylic Arm Chair comes in “6 saturated colors.” By this they mean the seats.
The acrylic stays clear, but the seat is available in Admiral Blue, Black, Brown Sugar, Emerald Green, Sultana Lavender, Red Pepper or Pewter Grey. Which I count to be seven, but perhaps black doesn’t count as a color?

Sultana Lavender shows very differently on different items on the website and in the catalog.
The Marilyn Acrylic Arm Chairs measure 20” wide x 37.75” high, with a depth of 23.5”. The seat is 17.25” from the floor and the arm is 28” from the floor.
