Laura Ashley Summer Palace Cork Backed Placemats

If you take hot plates from the microwave to the table, cork placemats can save your table’s finish.

Fiberboard placemats with the timeless Chinoiserie Summer Palace pattern on the front under plastic film with heat resistant cork backs
Cork placemats are basically dense cardboard with a paper picture laminated on one side and a thin piece of cork on the other side. They make coasters and hot pads the same way. They are rigid. You can’t fold them.

I you take care of these, they will last. But if you don’t, they won’t. They are easy to clean, just wipe the surface. The surface is protected enough to not stain if you wipe them off right away and don’t let spaghetti sauce or something else stay on them long enough to soak in. You can’t scrub them without scrubbing off the surface. The edges will deteriorate if you rub at it.
