Kay Dee Designs Blue Willow Potholders, Oven Mitts and Kitchen Towels
Kay Dee Designs makes hot mitts, pot holders, terry kitchen towels and flour sack towels with a traditional Blue Willow design.
Blue Willow Pot Holders
I first came across Kay Dee Designs when I was shopping for Blue Willow Pot Holders. I recently found the oven mitt and kitchen towel.

Sometimes they are sold as sets.
Both are thick quilted material and will protect your hands from anything too hot for bare hands.
Blue Willow Pot Holders
Sometimes they are sold as a single pot holder. The round ones are easy to grab and use. They also work on the table as a heat pad.
Sometimes you can buy Kay Dee Designs Blue Willow Potholders as a set of two.
Blue Willow Oven Mitt Pot Holder
The oven mitt is available individually or as a set. Oven mitts take a little longer to slip on, but are better for pulling things out of the oven. They protect more than just the palm of your hand. If you have ever bumped your wrist on the rack inside the oven, you can see the advantage of the oven mitt.
Blue Willow Kitchen Towels
There are two versions of the towels. Cotton loop terry towels have the Blue Willow pattern with the same border as my Churchill dishes.
Blue Willow Terry Towels
Terry cloth is the cotton fabric with loops on one side and a smoother texture on the other side. If it is made of absorbent cotton and not some strange synthetic, it is super absorbent.
Blue Willow Flour Sack Towels
The flour sack towels have the same border printed on thinner cotton towels.
Flour sack towels are still absorbent and don’t leave any fluff like terry towels might. That’s not what I use them for, though. I think they are ideal for putting in a bowl or basket to serve bread.
